Hydraulic Press AI Video Prompt: Crush Anything in Realistic Satisfying Videos

There’s something strangely satisfying about watching a hydraulic press slowly crush things. A candle, a rubber duck, a stack of crayons, and the heavy steel plate just keeps going down, no matter what’s in its way.

Hydraulic press channels have been around on YouTube for years, and they still pull millions of views. But running a real press is expensive, messy and honestly dangerous. The good news is you can now make these videos with AI, and the results can look surprisingly real.

In this post, I’m sharing the exact prompt I use. You only need to change one word: the object you want to crush.

If you came here from my video, the prompt is below with a copy button. But please check the tips section too, because that’s where I explain the one thing that makes or breaks these videos.

Why This Prompt Looks So Real

Most AI press videos look fake for three reasons: the lighting is too dramatic, the camera moves around, and the object explodes like something from a movie. Real press videos aren’t like that at all. They’re plain, raw and a little boring-looking, and that’s exactly why they feel real.

This prompt is built around that idea:

  • A worn-out machine. Scratched steel, oil stains and chipped yellow or blue paint, like a press that’s been used for years.
  • Plain workshop lighting. Normal fluorescent light, no cinematic glow and no dramatic shadows.
  • A locked camera. The camera sits on a tripod, straight in front. No zoom and no movement, just like a real experiment video.
  • Real physics. The object has to crack, bend, flatten or collapse based on what it’s made of. No random explosions.
  • The plates must fully close. This is the most important rule. More on that below.
  • Real sound. Hydraulic hum, metal creaking and crunching, with no music.

What You Need

  • An AI video generator that can create video with sound, such as Google Flow (Veo), Kling or a similar tool.
  • An object idea. I’ve added 20 ideas below if you need inspiration.

You don’t need ChatGPT for this one. The prompt goes straight into your video tool.

⚙️ Hydraulic Press AI Video Prompt

Create a hyper-realistic industrial video in 9:16 vertical aspect ratio of a hydraulic press crushing a [OBJECT] in a real mechanical workshop environment.

The hydraulic press is a heavy-duty industrial machine made of scratched steel, with oil stains, grease marks, worn metal texture, and realistic signs of use. The hydraulic press body is painted industrial yellow or industrial blue, with chipped paint, worn edges, scratches, and dirty machine surfaces. It is placed on a concrete floor inside a small mechanical workshop.

Lighting is realistic natural or fluorescent workshop lighting, slightly flat and practical. No cinematic lighting. No dramatic shadows.

A real [OBJECT] is placed exactly in the center between the top and bottom steel press plates.

The camera is fixed on a tripod in a straight front-facing angle. Vertical framing for mobile reel format. No camera movement. No zoom. No cinematic motion.

Real-time recording style. 30fps. 1080p. Documentary look. 9:16 aspect ratio.

The top hydraulic press plate slowly moves downward with steady, powerful force. The machine vibrates slightly. Real mechanical humming sound is present.

The top and bottom press plates must remain perfectly aligned, straight, and parallel at all times.

The press continues descending without stopping until the top plate fully meets and firmly attaches to the bottom plate like two solid steel blocks closing together completely with full contact.

The [OBJECT] in between must be completely crushed and compressed during this process.

No early stopping. No bouncing back. No unrealistic explosion. No flying debris unless the material naturally breaks. No exaggerated stretching.

The object must visibly deform under pressure according to real-world physics. It should compress, flatten, crack, bend, collapse, or break realistically depending on its material properties.

At the end of the video, the top and bottom steel press plates are fully closed and touching each other. The [OBJECT] is fully crushed between them.

Sound design: real hydraulic press machine sound, metal creaking, compression noises, workshop ambience. No music.

Style: raw industrial experiment video. Authentic. Not cinematic. Not CGI-looking.

Negative Prompt: cartoon physics, unrealistic deformation, glowing effects, dramatic explosions, over-the-top slow motion, unrealistic gaps between press plates, misaligned plates, fake debris, stylized rendering, cinematic lighting, CGI look, horizontal framing, wide shot aspect ratio.

How to Use It

Step 1: Copy the prompt using the button above.

Step 2: Paste it into a notes app first, and replace every [OBJECT] with the thing you want to crush. It appears four times, so use find and replace to catch them all.

Step 3: Open your AI video tool, paste the edited prompt and generate.

Step 4: Watch the full clip before posting. If the plates stop early or the object does something weird, just generate it again.

Pro tip: Be specific with your object. Instead of “apple,” write “a shiny red apple.” Instead of “toy,” write “a small plastic yellow rubber duck.” The more the AI knows about the material, the more realistic the crushing looks.

20 Object Ideas That Look Amazing

Satisfying and squishy:

  • A stack of colourful gummy bears
  • A big block of jelly
  • A bar of soap
  • A ripe watermelon
  • A bundle of crayons

Crunchy and crackly:

  • A glass bottle
  • A stack of old CDs
  • A pile of potato chips packets
  • A chocolate bar
  • A coconut

Metal and plastic:

  • A soda can
  • A small toy car
  • A plastic water bottle
  • An old keyboard
  • A stack of coins

Fun and unexpected:

  • A giant candle
  • A rubber duck
  • A bowling ball
  • A pineapple
  • A tennis ball

Food and soft materials usually give the most satisfying results, because the AI shows them squishing and splitting in a really natural way.

Tips for Better Results

Check that the plates close completely. This is the one thing that makes or breaks these videos. AI loves to stop the press halfway, leaving a gap between the plates. The prompt pushes hard against that, but it still happens sometimes. If you see a gap at the end, regenerate. A video where the plates fully close feels complete and satisfying, and people rewatch it.

Keep it short. These videos work best at 8 to 10 seconds. The shorter the clip, the more realistic the movement stays.

Try both colours. The prompt lets the AI choose yellow or blue for the machine. If you want your channel to look consistent, pick one and remove the other from the prompt.

Make a series. Post one object per day, and let viewers vote in the comments on what to crush next. It’s great for engagement, and you’ll never run out of ideas.

A Few Important Rules

Never use living things. No animals, insects or anything alive, even in AI videos. It’s not okay, and platforms will remove it quickly.

Don’t try this with a real press. Real hydraulic presses are extremely dangerous, and materials like glass and batteries can shatter or even catch fire. That’s exactly why AI is the smart way to make this kind of content.

Label your videos. Turn on the AI label when you upload to YouTube and Instagram. It keeps your account safe, and viewers don’t mind at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this prompt free?
Yes, completely free. Use it as much as you want.

Why does the press stop before touching the bottom?
It’s a common AI habit. Just regenerate the video. It usually works within one or two tries.

Can I make a horizontal version?
The prompt is made for vertical Shorts and Reels. For YouTube videos, change “9:16 vertical” to “16:9 horizontal,” and remove “horizontal framing” from the negative prompt at the end.

Can I crush more than one object at a time?
Yes, just describe them together, like “three stacked glass jars.” Keep it simple though, since too many objects can confuse the AI.

Final Thoughts

Hydraulic press videos are simple, satisfying and endlessly repeatable, which makes them perfect for growing a Shorts or Reels channel. With this prompt, all you need is a new object each day.
