Free Phone Wallpapers

Original wallpapers made for iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, in full resolution and completely free. Tap any wallpaper to see it full size, then save it to your phone.

Every wallpaper on this page is created by me, so you will not find them on a hundred other sites. New sets are added regularly.

iPhone 18 Wallpapers

Fresh wallpapers made for the iPhone 18 lineup. Each one leaves the top of the screen calm and uncluttered, so the clock and the Dynamic Island stay easy to read instead of fighting with a busy background.

iPhone 17 Wallpapers

Designed for the iPhone 17 series. If you like a dark home screen, these are worth trying first, because the deep blacks look especially rich on the OLED panel and use slightly less battery than bright backgrounds.

iPhone 16 Wallpapers

A set for the iPhone 16 family. These have a clear subject in the middle of the frame, which is exactly what the depth effect needs if you want the lock screen clock to sit behind part of the image.

iPhone 15 Wallpapers

Made with the iPhone 15 in mind. The colours here are deliberately soft, so your app icons and widgets stay easy to pick out on the home screen instead of disappearing into the background.

iPhone 14 Wallpapers

Wallpapers for the iPhone 14 series. They still look sharp on this screen size because every file is high resolution, so your phone scales it down rather than stretching it up.

iPhone 13 Wallpapers

A set that suits the smaller iPhone 13 display. When you set one, pinch to zoom out slightly so the whole design fits inside the frame instead of getting cropped at the edges.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Wallpapers

Wallpapers built for the Galaxy S26. Samsung's screens push colour hard, so these use controlled tones that stay natural rather than turning oversaturated once they are on your display.

Size: 1440 x 3120 px  ·  6 wallpapers

Samsung Galaxy S25 Wallpapers

A set for the Galaxy S25. If you use a heavy widget layout on your home screen, the calmer designs in this group work best, because they give your widgets room to breathe.

Size: 1440 x 3120 px  ·  6 wallpapers

Samsung Galaxy S24 Wallpapers

Made for the Galaxy S24 series. One Ui adds a slight blur over the home screen wallpaper by default, so if these look softer than expected, turn that blur off in your wallpaper settings.

How to Save a Wallpaper

Tap any wallpaper above to open it full size. Then press and hold the image and choose Save to Photos on iPhone, or Download image on Android. That is it, the full resolution file goes straight to your gallery.

One small tip: always save from this page rather than from a copy someone forwarded to you on WhatsApp. Messaging apps compress images heavily, which is the most common reason a wallpaper looks blurry once it is on your screen.

How to Set a Wallpaper on iPhone

  1. Open Settings and tap Wallpaper.
  2. Tap Add New Wallpaper, then choose Photos at the top.
  3. Pick the wallpaper you just saved.
  4. Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out and position it the way you like.
  5. Tap Add, then choose Set as Wallpaper Pair to use it on both the lock screen and home screen.

You can also do it straight from the Photos app: open the image, tap the share button and choose Use as Wallpaper.

Getting rid of the blur

If your home screen looks duller than the lock screen, that is the built-in blur effect. Go to Settings > Wallpaper, tap Customise under the home screen, and switch the blur off. The difference is bigger than most people expect.

How to Set a Wallpaper on Samsung

  1. Press and hold on an empty part of your home screen.
  2. Tap Wallpaper and style.
  3. Tap Change wallpapers, then Gallery, and pick your saved image.
  4. Choose whether to apply it to the home screen, lock screen, or both.
  5. Tap Done.

While you are in Wallpaper and style, it is worth turning off the home screen blur if your wallpaper looks washed out, and checking whether colour palette is pulling your icon colours from the image.

Picking a Wallpaper That Actually Works

A wallpaper that looks stunning in a gallery can be a mess on an actual phone. A few things I have learned making these:

  • Keep the top third simple. The clock and notifications live up there. Busy detail behind them makes the time hard to read.
  • Watch your icon colours. Light icons vanish on pale wallpapers. If your home screen feels cluttered, a darker wallpaper usually fixes it instantly.
  • Dark wallpapers save a little battery. On OLED screens, black pixels are switched off completely rather than lit up.
  • Do not zoom in too far. Over-zooming both softens the image and switches off the iPhone depth effect.

Can I Use These Wallpapers Freely?

Yes. These are my own original designs, and you are welcome to download them and use them on your own devices for free.

If you want to share them, please send people the link to this page rather than the image file. That way they get the full quality version, and it helps me keep making new sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these wallpapers really free?

Yes, every wallpaper on this page is free. No sign-up and no app to install.

Will they work on my older phone?

Almost certainly. The files are high resolution, so older and smaller phones simply scale them down and they still look sharp.

Why does my wallpaper look blurry?

Usually one of two reasons: you zoomed in too far while setting it, or the image was compressed by a messaging app. Download it again directly from this page.

Can I use them on a tablet?

You can, though these are shaped for phone screens, so you will see cropping on a wider tablet display.

Do you add new wallpapers?

Yes, regularly. Bookmark this page and check back, or follow me on social media where I post whenever a new set goes up.

Something not working? If a wallpaper will not save or a section looks empty on your device, leave a comment and tell me which phone you are using. I will fix it.
